Since our inception, we have developed
a multitude of custom management information systems
(accounting, budgeting, cost estimating, personnel
management, inventory, project management, and administration,
etc.) for both government and commercial applications.
Software development methods, languages and tools
have changed dramatically since we began developing
systems in 1985. These new tools and methods, such
as structured life cycle development, modern configuration
management, and Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
allow developers to produce better code more efficiently.
We believe that the first step in software development
is to clearly define the user's needs in the form
of a requirements specification or prototype. PDS
Systems Engineering personnel tailor their approach
to modeling systems/requirements to meet the client's
individual needs. We employ the use of CASE
technology when possible because it leads to a higher
level of quality in the systems models produced; and
because it increases the efficiency of the analysis
process.
